Barberry Coast Bay Rum Shave Cream was a pleasant surprise for me. I did not expect the depth of scent that this cream provided. It’s not just the scent that surprised me, it was the slickness, incredible protection, and fabulous face feel that made me smile ear to ear. Bravo Barberry Coast!
I'm on my 3rd Bay Rum shaving cream. I give the first two purchases 5 stars but the 3rd has zero lather. It simply will not lather. I don't know what changed but, this is not the same product I purchased previously.

However, during the summer months (especially in places like Arizona), the intense heat during shipping can temporarily affect the texture and latherability. This is why we include a note in every order: simply refrigerate the jar overnight, next day give it a quick stir, and it will return to its original, rich consistency.

This shaving cream is incredible. A small dollop goes a long way. I apply with a brush. Scent is muted but there. Especially when applying with a brush. You won’t be disappointed. Worth every cent!!
The product smells great. For me, personally, it helps not having to use more time shaving with a bowl and brush to apply.

I'm a big fan of the Rum aftershave. It's smells are relaxing and the feel is smoothing.
The sampler shaving creams also had great smells, but I just could not get them to perform. They barely lathered and didn't get my beard to stand up. I'll be trying more of the aftershaves.
I'm a very experienced shaver, badger brush, distilled water, and a high end double-edge safety razor.
Smells great and lathers well.
Still love the product but the new jar I just received is much less concentrated than the previous jars. Previous jars were stiff cream while the new jar seems way more soupy. Still happy with the results but the jar will not last as long and at $40 a jar, that's a problem.
Hi John! Thank you for your review. Rest assured our formula has not changed. During the summer months it may be necessary to refrigerate your shave cream overnight. It’s hot outside and delivery trucks are even hotter. The intense heat can temporarily break down the shave cream to a more liquid form. Placing your jar in the refrigerator overnight will thicken it up back to the proper consistency. Be sure to give it a good stirring after you take it out of the fridge.
