Where's Our "Aftershave Balm/Lotion" Product?

As many of you may have noticed, our aftershave lotion has been out of stock for a few months now. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused and want to provide you with an update on why it has been unavailable and when we expect it to return.

The reason for the shortage is that we have been reformulating the product to remove the ingredient dimethicone. But first, let's talk about what dimethicone is and why we initially included it in our aftershave lotion.

Dimethicone is a type of silicone that is commonly used in personal care products as a conditioning agent. It works by forming a barrier on the skin that helps to lock in moisture and keep the skin hydrated. It is also often used to smooth and soften the skin, which is why it is a popular ingredient in aftershave lotions.

However, while dimethicone can have some benefits for the skin, it has also been the subject of some controversy. Some studies have suggested that dimethicone may disrupt the skin's natural barrier function and interfere with the skin's ability to breathe. This can potentially lead to irritation and other skin problems.

In light of these concerns and the recent significant increase in the cost of dimethicone, we decided to reformulate our aftershave lotion to remove dimethicone and find alternative ingredients that would still provide the same benefits. This process has taken a few months as we wanted to ensure that the new formula was just as effective as the original, if not more so, and would not require us to significantly increase the retail price of the product.

We are happy to announce that our new aftershave lotion formula is now ready and is currently in production. We believe it is better than ever and will provide the same hydrating and conditioning benefits as the original, without the use of dimethicone.

We expect to have the aftershave lotion back in stock by January 31, 2023. We hope this update helps to provide some clarity on the situation and we apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused.
