The quest is over! Dad’s favorite soap found again!

I purchased the Havana Shave Soap (not directly from Barberry Coast) for my father about a year ago and he loved it. Somehow, when we had to move him in August, it got lost. Neither he nor I could remember the name of it so I sent him (we live in different states) one from another company. He said it was nice but not as good as the other one. He kept touting the attributes (great scent, thick lather, smooth face, etc.) of his favorite shaving soap every time I called (which is daily). Yes, I got his not-so-subtle hints and went searching for his favorite shaving soap. Every soap I have sent him was not “the one”. One day, I read a review on another company’s website where the reviewer stated that although the shaving soap he was reviewing was nice he preferred the Barberry Coast shaving soaps. The reviewer spoke fondly and wistfully of the Barberry Coast shaving soaps, vowing to return to them when finished with the current one. It reminded me of how my father speaks of the soap. When I looked through Barberry Coast’s website and saw the picture of Havana, I knew that was the one! I had it sent to him. It arrived quicker than I expected and he called me immediately. He was so happy! Who would think a shaving soap would make such a difference to an 87-year-old man that has been cooped up, confined to his home, yard and walks around the block with his caretaker since the pandemic started. He is a very social person and the restrictions have been difficult for him. Sometimes the smallest things can spark joy. Needless to say, I will be ordering another before he runs out and will never, ever forget the name: Barberry Coast Havana Rich Lather Shave Soap. Thanks for helping my father smile every morning.

Great shave soap, classic scent

This was the 1st shave soap I bought from Barberry Coast, and I have been hooked ever since. Classic bay rum scent, build a thick leather that gives a smooth, clean shave. I have since purchased all of their shave soap scents. A great company that has wonderful products and customer service. Highly recommended.

The Best Bay Rum Aftershave Ever

In the course of my shaving career (50+ years), I have tried many BayRum Aftershaves from a wide variety of vendors. In my opinion, no one can come close to Barberry Coasts' Aftershave Splash No. 28. Its cool, crisp scent lasts for hours, and its mild ingredients do not irritate one's skin.

What is good about bay rum?

I use the after shave and skin moisturizer every day. I enjoy the aroma of the bay rum. It reminds me of growing up and going to the barbershop. My skin feels clean and there are no post shave irritation

Woods, spices, citrus and bay rum blend to create a perfect warm scent for fall and winter, but good year around too.
Smells like the "holidays" should smell.
I bought two bottles. You have spray a bit and let the bottles sit for two or three months in a dark place for the oils to blend and let the scent mature.

Best shaving soap ever

I've been shaving with a brush and shaving soap for more than 30 years and have used dozens of different soaps. This is hands down the best. I love the moisturizing quality, the way it doesn't leave a residue, and the natural ingredients. At first I thought the scent was too strong, but now I love it.

I am experimenting with Bay Rum products

I am experimenting with Bay Rum scented products. I have been using Ogallala Bay Rum soap/shampoo. I purchased so I could carry solid soap and shampoo in carry-on luggage. Then I tried aftershave. I like the soap but not the aftershave.
I love Barberry Coast Bay Rum aftershave. I love the scent and the fact that the scent lasts for quite a while. I look forward to trying more products.
