Just A Great Soap!

I'm typically a shave cream guy vs a puck.....but I put this in a vintage Old Spice shaving mug went to work. I typically use a 24mm synthetic knot brush and this brush was loaded with oodles of lather in less than a minute...and the scent?!? Incredible. The soap is super slick, no irritation whatsoever....and I will typically do a 2-3 pass shave...I finish it off with B.C. Bay Rum aftershave, my wife of 3 years loves that scent...Barberry Coast....Don't Change A Thing!!

Excellent quality shaving soap

This is great shaving soap. It takes almost no time to produce a really good lather -- so I use less water and less swirling with the brush; which means that the soap lasts a good long while as well. Also, a lot of shaving soap I have used seems to lose its scent over time, but with these the scent lasts until the end. I like everything about it.

Husband loves it!

I keep trying to get my husband into the cheaper shave soaps but I give in because these are well worth the money! They smell absolutely amazing and his skin gets less bumps and nicks.

Fantastic shave soaps but aftershaves need more identify

Seriously good shave soaps. I have been on a craze buying different shave soaps across the board, and this is right up there as one of the best. Fantastic lather, great lubrication.

I bought both the bay rum and the ascent. Shipping and packing were great as well.

My only gripe though is the aftershaves. The scent of both ascent and bay rum for the aftershave were not so different. And they were both decidedly sweet with bay rum aftershave surprisingly sweeter than ascent.

I would have preferred the bay rum scent to be less sweetly pronounced.

Also, I bought bay rum aftershave off Amazon, which unfortunately shipped not as well. It leaked a little.

The Best Bay Rum Aftershave Ever

In the course of my shaving career (50+ years), I have tried many BayRum Aftershaves from a wide variety of vendors. In my opinion, no one can come close to Barberry Coasts' Aftershave Splash No. 28. Its cool, crisp scent lasts for hours, and its mild ingredients do not irritate one's skin.
I recommend this product unreservedly.

What is good about bay rum?

I use the after shave and skin moisturizer every day. I enjoy the aroma of the bay rum. It reminds me of growing up and going to the barbershop. My skin feels clean and there are no post shave irritation

Woods, spices, citrus and bay rum blend to create a perfect warm scent for fall and winter, but good year around too.
Smells like the "holidays" should smell.
I bought two bottles. You have spray a bit and let the bottles sit for two or three months in a dark place for the oils to blend and let the scent mature.

Best shaving soap ever

I've been shaving with a brush and shaving soap for more than 30 years and have used dozens of different soaps. This is hands down the best. I love the moisturizing quality, the way it doesn't leave a residue, and the natural ingredients. At first I thought the scent was too strong, but now I love it.

I am experimenting with Bay Rum products

I am experimenting with Bay Rum scented products. I have been using Ogallala Bay Rum soap/shampoo. I purchased so I could carry solid soap and shampoo in carry-on luggage. Then I tried aftershave. I like the soap but not the aftershave.
I love Barberry Coast Bay Rum aftershave. I love the scent and the fact that the scent lasts for quite a while. I look forward to trying more products.
