Bay Rum Unleashed

I am a huge fan and everyday user of the original Bay Rum and I am happy to say that this Reserve version really amps up the spice and bay rum. Where the original mellows to a soft tonka bean and vanilla base, the reserve mellows to a soft spice and cinnamon base. The reserve lasts all day for me and I can smell it on my clothes several days after wearing it. I use the reserve now when I am going out or when I need my bay rum to last the whole day. It still has all of the aspects I love about the original, just dialed up a bit and more vibrant. I am very happy with my purchase and I will be buying the larger bottle once I finish the 60ml bottle.

Close, but not quite arrived to the standard set by Dominica Bay Rum

Too much spice cinnamon aroma. Perhaps, increase Bay Leaf and greatly decrease or even eliminate the Cinnamon. I am a prior 25+ year user of Dominica Bay Rum After Shave and that recipe reflected the most authentic Bay Rum. The other authentic Bay Rum is provided by Meehan Bay Rum.

First, I've tried numerous bay rum colognes and/or aftershaves, and Barberry Coast offers the best version of bay rum, hands down. No contest. This Dominican Extrait Reserve Bay Rum is superior to the EDP (and that's saying a lot)! It's richer and even more aromatic in all the good ways, and the dry-down is amazing. Top shelf all the way. When the website says "tradition meets modern intensity," they're spot on! I would add another adjective: Comforting. You just feel good using it. I would give it more than five stars if I could. It's right up there, IMHO, with Finca Vagia Bold and Nobleman -- the all-star trio of fragrances. I will be rotating them regularly in the foreseeable future! Grab yourself a bottle!

The Best Bay Rum Aftershave Ever

In the course of my shaving career (50+ years), I have tried many BayRum Aftershaves from a wide variety of vendors. In my opinion, no one can come close to Barberry Coasts' Aftershave Splash No. 28. Its cool, crisp scent lasts for hours, and its mild ingredients do not irritate one's skin.

What is good about bay rum?

I use the after shave and skin moisturizer every day. I enjoy the aroma of the bay rum. It reminds me of growing up and going to the barbershop. My skin feels clean and there are no post shave irritation

Woods, spices, citrus and bay rum blend to create a perfect warm scent for fall and winter, but good year around too.
Smells like the "holidays" should smell.
I bought two bottles. You have spray a bit and let the bottles sit for two or three months in a dark place for the oils to blend and let the scent mature.

Best shaving soap ever

I've been shaving with a brush and shaving soap for more than 30 years and have used dozens of different soaps. This is hands down the best. I love the moisturizing quality, the way it doesn't leave a residue, and the natural ingredients. At first I thought the scent was too strong, but now I love it.

I am experimenting with Bay Rum scented products. I have been using Ogallala Bay Rum soap/shampoo. I purchased so I could carry solid soap and shampoo in carry-on luggage. Then I tried aftershave. I like the soap but not the aftershave.
I love Barberry Coast Bay Rum aftershave. I love the scent and the fact that the scent lasts for quite a while. I look forward to trying more products.
